Tuition and Associated Fees

Scholarship

Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Scholarships

Students who demonstrate both outstanding academic performance and good character, and who face financial difficulties in continuing their studies, may apply for a JASSO scholarship to lend money. Recipients are selected based on their applications.
In some cases, students who achieve excellent academic results during their studies and are recognized by JASSO may be granted a partial or full exemption from repayment.

Private Scholarships

Students may also apply for scholarships offered by private scholarship foundations.
These scholarships are awarded based on each organization’s selection criteria.

Student Support Programs

Exemption of Admission and Tuition Fees

Students who are recognized as having financial difficulties may apply for partial or full exemption of admission and/or tuition fees after a selection process. In addition, students who  continue to study in  graduate school of Kanazawa University are exempted from paying the admission fee.

Teaching Assistant (TA)

Graduate students may work as Teaching Assistants (TAs), supporting undergraduate students in experiments, exercises, or tutorials under academic supervision.
This system provides both educational training and financial compensation.

Number of TAs employed:
– Master’s Program: 578
– Doctoral Program: 94

Research Assistant (RA)

Graduate students may also participate as Research Assistants (RAs) in university research projects under academic supervision.
This program aims to develop students’ research abilities while supporting ongoing research activities.
