Credit Requirement

Master’s Level Section

To receive a Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, students must be enrolled in the Graduate School for at least 2 years, earn the required number of credits, meet the standards of English proficiency, receive research guidance, and pass the Master’s thesis or reserch results on a specific topic review or QE. Students who are enrolled in the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology for one year or longer and achieve outstanding research results may be granted early completion of the Master’s level section.  However, the completion requirements are different in some programs and courses.

Doctoral Level Section

To receive a Doctoral degree from the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, students must be enrolled in the Graduate School for at least 3 years, earn the required number of credits, meet the standards of English proficiency, receive research guidance, and pass the Doctoral dissertation review and final examination. Students who are enrolled in the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology for one year or longer and achieve outstanding research results may be granted early completion of the Doctoral level section. However, the completion requirements are different in some programs and courses.

Degree

Master’s Level Section

Master’s degrees shall be granted to persons who have completed the Master’s level section. Name of degree subjects noted on degree certificates is Master of Science, Master of Engineering or Master of Philosophy.

Doctoral Dissertation Review Criteria

Evaluation Criteria for the Results of Specific Research Projects (Project Research)

Doctoral degrees shall be granted to persons who have completed the doctoral level section. Name of degree subjects noted on degree certificates is Doctor of Philosophy in Science, Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering or Doctor of Philosophy.
