Since 2001 (H13), the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology at Kanazawa University has established collaborative programs with private companies and research institutions with the aim of further enhancing and developing the graduate school’s education and research, as well as promoting research exchange.
These programs are implemented through agreements on cooperation in education and research with private companies and research institutions, resulting in the establishment of collaborative courses.
As of June 1, 2026 (R8), the graduate school offers 16 collaborative courses: 4 in the Division of Material Chemistry, 4 in the Division of Mechanical Science and Engineering, 3 in the Division of Electrical, Information and Communication Engineering, and 5 in the Division of Geoscience and Civil Engineering. These courses are staffed by 21 professors and 11 associate professors.
By integrating Kanazawa University’s long-standing research achievements in science and engineering with the research environments, facilities, and human resources of private companies, these collaborative programs aim to train researchers and engineers capable of competing on the global stage.
Going forward, the Graduate School plans to further expand collaborative courses and continue strengthening its education and research programs.
