Division of Mechanical Science and Engineering

The Division of Mechanical Science and Engineering was recently established by merging the former Division of Mechanical Science and Engineering and Division of Human & Mechanical Science and Engineering which covers a wide range of technology from the fundamental study of mechanical engineering to state-of-the-art technology.

These days, there is a great need for scientific technology that is in harmony with people and the environment, and mechanical engineering, which is the basis for all production systems, has a major role to play in every industry.
We offer training in a wide range of technology from basic mechanical engineering to state-of-the-art technology, as well as human science and environmental science, to produce engineers who have expertise, creativity in research, a wide vision, an international mindset, well-rounded humanity and creativity that can respond flexibly to changes in society and learning.

This division consists of two courses: Mechanical Systems Engineering Course and Environment and Humanrelated Mechanical Systems Course. In the Mechanical Systems Engineering Course, study and research are carried out from the basics in subjects such as physics and mathematics, and then in specialized fields in mechanical engineering. We aim to produce engineers who will contribute to the development of advanced fusion technology to solve contemporary problems such as challenges in aerospace and energy. In the Environment and Humanrelated Mechanical Systems Course, we develop people-, environment- and society-oriented technology and establish the foundation of mechanical engineering to support safe, anxiety-free and high-level technology in society.
