ACADEMICS

Master's Level Section

Division of Environmental Design

In the Division of Environmental Design, we design our environment to make it safe, anxiety-free and comfortable. We think of the environment not only as the global environment; we consider it from a broader perspective that includes living environment and infrastructure. In the 21st century, there is a need to develop infrastructures that are safe and anxiety-free, while taking the environment and ecosystems into consideration. We produce creative researchers and engineers who can use their expertise and interdisciplinary skills to develop infrastructures that are in harmony with nature. In addition, students extend their knowledge through exchanges with students and researchers at other universities and institutes; these include activities in academic societies, collaborative research and internship.

  • Specialized basic subjects offer the basic knowledge required to study in the Master’s Level Section of the Integrated Course, which is based on knowledge acquired in the bachelor program.
  • Expertise application subjects, which were developed from basic subjects, offer expertise and interdisciplinary knowledge.
  • We offer the Environment & Eco-technology Special Course, which involves investigating and researching environmental and ecological problems in East Asia through activities conducted by project teams consisting of Japanese, Chinese and Korean students.
