In response to growing demand for highly skilled science and engineering professionals-both in cutting-edge research and practical Research & Development-Graduate School reorganized its Master’s Programs in 2022 and Doctoral program in 2024. Across seven majors, we train experts with deep knowledge and a broad, interdisciplinary perspective.

In the natural science fields related to the fundamentals and applications of science and engineering, we practice education and research in new, interdisciplinary academic areas that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries, based on our founding principles of “independence”, “comprehensiveness”, “interdisciplinarity”, and “regionality”.
Our doctoral program spans five years, divided into a two-year Master’s Program and a three-year Doctoral Program, with a curriculum designed to enable continuous five-year education.

The campus of the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology consists of the South Area (Main Building, Buildings 1–3), the Central Area (Building 5), and several adjacent research facilities. Within these areas, students have access to the Natural Science Library, as well as welfare facilities such as a cafeteria, shops, and a convenience store. In addition, food trucks visit the campus on a rotating schedule, providing a lively atmosphere that supports students’ academic and daily life.
The campus continues to develop and expand, with new facilities currently under construction, scheduled for completion in FY2025.
