April 1985: Establishment of Doctoral Program in Life Sciences, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
April 1986: Establishment of Doctoral Programs in Material Sciences, Faculty of Science
April 1987: Establishment of Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology
(Divisions: Material Sciences, Life Sciences, System Sciences)

April 1995: Establishment of Division of Global Environmental Science and Engineering
April 1997: Reorganization of Graduate School into Specialized Doctoral Courses

April 1998: Reorganization of Graduate School (Divisions of Material Sciences, Life Sciences, and System Sciences reorganized into Divisions of Basic Sciences, Applied Sciences, Innovative Technology and Science, and Life Sciences)
April 2000: Establishment of Administration Department of Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology
April 2001: Establishment of Jointly Offered Course of Graduate School (Divisions of Environmental Science and Engineering [PhD Course]; Civil and Environmental Engineering [MA Course])
April 2002: Establishment of Jointly Offered Courses of Graduate School (Divisions of Basic Sciences, Innovative Technology and Science [PhD Course]; Divisions of Material Chemistry, Mechanical Science and Engineering [MA Course])
September 2003: Establishment of Jointly Offered Course of Graduate School (Division of Applied Sciences [PhD course] and Material Engineering [MA course])
April 2004: Reorganization of Graduate School and Faculties (All instructors of the Faculty of Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Engineering were integrated into the Graduate School. Integrated Courses were reorganized into 11 Master’s level sections and six doctoral level sections.)
April 2006: Kakuma South Area Administration Office took charge of the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology.
April 2008: Reorganization of the undergraduate programs of the university into three Colleges consisting of 16 Schools

(Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering integrated into College of Science and Engineering, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences integrated into College of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences)

April 2010: Divisions of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biology, Pharmacy and Health Sciences [MA Course] reorganized into Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences [MA Course], Graduate School of Medical Sciences
Establishment of Jointly Offered Course of Graduate School (Divisions of Environmental Science and Engineering [PhD Course]; Earth and Environmental Sciences [MA Course])
April 2011: Establishment of Jointly Offered Course of Graduate School (Divisions of Innovative Technology and Science [PhD Course]; Divisions of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Human & Mechanical Science and Engineering [MA Course])
October 2011: Establishment of Jointly Offered Course of Graduate School (Division of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science [PhD Course])
April 2012: Reorganization of Graduate School (Divisions of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Science and Engineering, Human & Mechanical Science and Engineering, Material Chemistry, Material Engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Biological Sciences reorganized into Divisions of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Material Chemistry, Mechanical Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Environmental Design, and Natural System [MA Course])
Establishment of Graduate School of Medical Sciences (All instructors of the Schools of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences were integrated into the Graduate School of Medical Sciences.)
Establishment of Jointly Offered Course of Graduate School (Divisions of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Innovative Technology and Science [PhD Course])
Science and Engineering Administration Department took charge of the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology.
